So you are nearing retirement and considering nomad life for a while. Getting to the RV and take off to see the sites of the good ole USA. This has been a dream for you for many years and you will finally have time and finances to do so. You had better get it done while you still have your health. It will be just you and your spouse foot loose and Fancy Free. What a great way to spend the first few years of your retirement. But you do not know anything about RV’s, or at least an RV big enough to get the job done. You might have made a small camp where the children were at home in the old pop-up camper. But what do you need to buy to fill your needs and wishes for this venture? You went to the RV show at the Convention Center, but got away so confused that you are considering scrapping the whole idea. Let me suggest that you rent a couple of RV’s and try a few short trips before they buy something. There are RV Rentals in North Carolina, RV rentals in New Jersey, RV rentals in northern California, there are RV Rentals for homes anywhere you live in the United States. The vast majority of this is that you can determine the right size car for you and what features you need while enjoying a mini-trip. Many RV dealers sell their apartments for a year or so. You can find a real good deal on a rental unit when it becomes available if you get to know your dealer quite well. There is also the possibility that you may not want to be responsible for an RV. You had better find out now before you decide to huge investments. This is why the rent before buying makes sense to me. Many couples find out that they are not comfortable driving a large unit of the type of traffic that we face today. After all, are you doing this to relax. There are also instructed to empty the drains and make sure you have plenty of water on board. And what about the expenses beyond the purchase price? Camping fees have skyrocketed in recent years, not to mention the price of fuel. Perhaps it would be a little more relaxing to invest in a luxury car and pay the price for a nice motel room. The best way to find out is to give them both a chance.
